No. We have Maidens across coastal Alabama — Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley, and a small handful in Pensacola. We meet on Pleasure Island and along the coast.
It helps. It is not required. A well-written petition has admitted many a Maiden without a name to lean on.
