Answer the Call to Mischief

We are an invited circle, though the door is never truly closed. Petitions are welcome year-round, and each one is received with care, curiosity, and a touch of mischief. Applications are read by hand, in their own time, as the Krewe gathers to consider new additions to the story we’re still writing.

A Few Things Often Asked

Frequent Inquiries

1.

Do I have to be from Gulf Shores or Orange Beach?

No. We have Maidens across coastal Alabama — Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley, and a small handful in Pensacola. We meet on Pleasure Island and along the coast.

2.

Do I need a Maiden to vouch for me?

It helps. It is not required. A well-written petition has admitted many a Maiden without a name to lean on.

3.

When will I hear back?

Petitions are welcome year-round. We read each one by hand, in its own time, and will respond as the Krewe considers new members.

4.

How many new Maidens each year?

The Krewe is small on purpose. New member invitations are considered with care each season.

5.

What if I am not chosen?

Many Maidens were not chosen the first time. We hold petitions on file for future consideration and welcome a quiet re-submission.
